Designed to support children with autism in all walks of life, the best ABA care at Helping Hands Family revolves around individualized goal setting, evidence-based care planning, and an uplifting atmosphere that honors each child’s gifts, talents, and needs.

Since many ABA therapy plans involve a mix of overlapping initiatives, the first step is to discuss your child’s needs with our Care Coordination team. During this helpful consultation, feel free to ask any questions and learn about:

  • Details about our various service types
  • The documents you will need to gather for the intake process
  • Our state-of-the-art ABA clinics
  • Our compassionate and gentle approach
  • How to prepare for your child’s initial assessment

After learning more about our services and the many ways we can help, the next step is to organize all necessary documents.

What You Need To Begin Recieving Quality ABA Therapy

Before ABA therapy can begin, we are required to collect the following documents:

      • A doctor’s prescription

      • An official autism diagnosis

      • Your insurance information

Fortunately, many insurance plans provide coverage for ABA therapy services. If ABA therapy is deemed a medical necessity by your child’s physician, even government-sponsored plans like Medicaid are required to cover the services.

Before getting started, it is advisable to check your insurance paperwork for ASD-related benefits. If your current insurance coverage does not include benefits for autism services, we are more than happy to help you find a plan and guide you through the application process to ensure that your child can begin receiving the affordable care they need to succeed!

    Time To Schedule An Assessment

Our personalized autism services in Lehigh Valley, PA, and throughout the northeast are made possible with the best team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) in the field of autism therapy. Once all paperwork has been submitted and approved, you and your child will meet with one of our BCBAs for an informative assessment process.

The initial assessment takes approximately 4-6 hours. Our BCBAs carefully observe your child and take notes of relevant behaviors. This assessment also offers you an opportunity to ask our BCBA any questions that you may have.

Create & Submit A Plan With Our Caring Team

Following the assessment process, our ABA therapists will create a detailed report and treatment plan. We’ll teach you all about the plan, answer any questions, and provide you with all of the remaining information you will need to get started. The report is then submitted to your insurance agency, and once approved, your child can begin autism therapy in West Chester, PA, or one of our other locations immediately.
