Little Hands, Big Improvements

HHF’s Little Hands Day Program uses the evidence-based ABA approach to create customized curriculums for each child. Our program targets specific milestones to facilitate a successful transition to kindergarten!

ABA Therapy - effective communication
Language and Communication

Children learn to develop and enhance their ability to express themselves and understand spoken language such as naming items, requesting needs, following instructions, reading, and using alternative communication (sign language or communication devices).

ABA Therapy - improved learning
Learning, Thinking, Problem Solving

Problem-solving, reasoning, and decision-making skills improve by teaching children to break down complex tasks into more manageable steps for processing information and making decisions.

Motor and Movement Milestones

By designing activities to practice motor skills, such as standing, walking, running, sitting, and jumping, ABA therapy assists in making both fine and gross motor skills easier for children with autism.

ABA Therapy - independence
Attention and Focus

ABA therapy builds out individual sessions, where a child can focus on activities with one behavioral therapist. When the child shows improved focus and concentration on a lesson, they are rewarded.

ABA Therapy - improved social skills
Socialization and Interaction

Through group sessions and activities, we teach children social rules. As children learn and successfully interact with others, their confidence grows, empowering them to initiate conversations and develop friendships.

Potty Training

ABA therapy helps children understand and navigate potty training. This approach breaks down bathroom visits into manageable steps for understanding. After success at each step, children are rewarded through positive reinforcement!
