For Matthew, studying the science behind human behavior made the world feel logical. His passion for providing ABA therapy to children had its own rational inspiration and logical progression… He grew up in a small town that lacked special education support and grew an affinity for this underserved population. Matthew discovered the Registered Behavior Technician role while in college, worked as an RBT for 8 years, and found it natural to help children. It didn’t take long for Matthew to fall in love with the behavior science field. His goal as he gain experience in the field has always remained the same, to be catalyst for change for kids.
Matthew’s experience as a BCaBA during the pandemic helped him grow professionally and prepared him for leadership in the field, because he received more responsibility. One of his favorite tasks was Parent Training, where he enjoys sharing a child’s progression with the family. His BCaBA experience combined with his education, which includes a master’s degree in Behavior Analysis at Florida Institute of Technology, has prepared Matthew for his Clinical Director role at HHF!
