Helping Hands Family follows the national standards to protect patient health information in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Helping Hands Family (HHF) may be required to share some client information with authorized covered entities for activities including but not limited to billing, scheduling, coordination of care, and insurance auditing. HHF does not share client information outside of the authorized activities unless required by law.
HHF offers the opt-in option to receive administrative information, appointment reminders, and communication with assigned clinical team members via regular text messaging (SMS). There is an inherent level of risk that information in a regular text message could be intercepted.
