Helping Hands Family

Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are integral to the success of each ABA plan! As one of the most rewarding careers in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, RBTs assist children with autism in learning, development, and socialization.

Since ABA elements can include a mix of communication, social, behavior, and developmental goals, RBTs’ help children on the spectrum on multiple levels. On Monday, our RBTs may be helping their clients progress through focus-improving puzzles or practicing words and songs in fun group activities. On Tuesday, the day might be filled with motor coordination games, activities to improve memory or social events that promote practical communication skills. RBTs’ day-to-day interactions evolve with each behavior plan they support.

As you can see from the spectrum of possible RBT interactions, this is one of the most enriching career paths for individuals who like to help others and explore ever-changing areas of developmental growth each day!

Encouraging Relationships Improve Learning Outcomes

The best behavior, social, and functional growth plans are powered by a foundation of compassion and understanding. Before progressing to play-based communication practice or motor skill improvement, building a nurturing and trusting bond with our clients is the first step. Since RBTs have the most one-on-one time with each child, we exclusively offer our RBT jobs in Pennsylvania, NJ, CT, and MD to individuals who demonstrate a depth of kindness and patience.

By establishing more supportive client-to-RBT relationships from the start, every step on the journey towards improved communication skills and appropriate behavior becomes easier to navigate. When children feel safe and supported, the doors to meaningful progress can open. Along with supporting the children at our clinics, the same depth of open-ended support applies to the families we guide throughout the treatment process. By proactively connecting parents, siblings, and caregivers with helpful resources and real-time behavior plan tips, promoting a lifetime of progress can happen inside and outside of the clinic.
